If you are in search of family friendly lodging in North Conway, look no further than the Green Granite Inn. Conveniently located in the scenic White Mountains, our North Conway hotel provides a fun and relaxing vacation getaway. Here are a few amenities that make us the most family friendly inn in the Mount Washington Valley:
Take a magical Journey to the North Pole, an interactive experience that only happens here in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The trains depart each Friday and Saturday night beginning the last weekend in November.
It's a pretty special experience for grownups and kids alike. The parents love watching a child's excitement in the train ride and meeting a bunch of elves and Santa himself! Pajamas are encouraged for children and adults alike!
Motorcycle riders are a special group of people. The image of the outlaw motorcycle gang is fading as the modern bikers found rumbling down the highways may just as well be CEOs or housewives enjoying the freedom of the open road and the fellowship at rallies where they can socialize with other riders.
If this sounds appealing to you, you might want to ride your bike on up to Mt. Washington Valley for the 91st annual Laconia Motorcycle Week June 14-22, 2014. At Green Granite Inn, we’re offering a 20% off Rack (Regular) Rates for June 13-23.
80th Birthday Celebration at Wildcat
During the Great Depression, the Civilian Conservation Corps, armed with axes and cross-cut saws, started clearing the Wildcat trail, one of the first ski racing trails built in the United States. Designed by Charley Proctor, the all-around ski champion of Canada in 1927, it was designated as a class "A" racing trail.
On April 5th, this anniversary will be commemorated at the 1st Annual Cat Scratch Fever in The Chutes at the base of Wildcat Mountain. Come cheer on competitors and sway the judges scores from easy vantage points located at the Bobcat Base Lodge or from the decks of the Main Base Lodge. No matter where you are, a party atmosphere will surround you. The Ross Livermore Band will either be playing outdoor snow stage in the Wildcat base area or inside the Wildcat Pub, depending on the weather, while Reklis will perform on the Snow Stage. Outdoor grills will be offering fresh cooked burgers and other assorted grilled deliciousness available for purchase. Wildcat's special Anniversary tickets are on sale through Wildcat only. You can purchase them online or call 888.SKI.WILD to purchase. They will be 2-day $80 passes. Green Granite is offering a Ski and Stay special! Book a room for just $80 for one adult (additional adults are $10 per person)* to stay Friday and Saturday nights April 4-5th when you call direct and request the Wildcat Special Promo.
Off-Highway Recreational Vehicles are a fun way to get around in the winter months. The cold returned with a vengeance at the end of February, so the trails should be set up for some great riding.
Snomobiles are welcome at The Green Granite Inn, our North Conway hotel. We offer parking in certain areas of our parking lots to accommodate trailers. We are close to some popular trails. However, there is no direct access from our property and no riding of these vehicles allowed on the property, so you will need to transport any OHRV you bring with you on a trailer to nearby trails.
We want you to have a memorable and safe winter adventure. Use caution and common sense.

The White Mountains have long been a popular destination for skiers since the 19th century. Long before skiing really took off in the United States, the White Mountains were home to “some of the first purpose-cut ski runs on the continent and a host of other innovations in grooming, lifts, and ski schools were developed here in the 1930s,” according to National Geographic. The high peaks make for an exhilarating ride, and the conditions are perfect for powder. Despite the area’s longtime fame for great slopes, new skiers are still discovering New Hampshire’s many great mountains and the area continues to receive positive press.
There is so much to see and do in North Conway besides taking in the beautiful fall foliage. There are plenty of Halloween events and Autumn celebrations to keep you busy all October long. Here are just a few of the fun attractions well worth at trip to the White Mountains:
